Reminded me alot of ELO, whom I really dig. I didn't care for the muffled vocals at the beginning. Loved the piano and the voice, good song

intro takes my attention straight away, the finished song here is brilliantly made and polished, something of a real treasure, the song itself is pretty interesting lyrically and musically, at first seemed to be another try hard pop song, but gradually revealed itself as something more, quite unique, with its flowing verses and uplifting chorus, really nice song

Critique: Superb music, great laid-back lyrics. Solo vocals nicely done, but buried in the mix...most words get lost

You have a great production quality going here. It was pleasant for the listener. Your vocals and lyrics are great..near perfect. I kind of think the song might be a little too long for contests or radio play. I don't know how you could reduce anything though. I liked the piano playing.. This song touched my heart...

Critique: This is a really cool tune. Its interesting from the beginning to the end. I liked the "radio voice"in the first part of the song. The musical break seemed out of place with rest of song. It is a little long but sounds good. Didn’t know what you meant by pole
position though.

Great production! But perhaps too many elements, too many ideas squeezed into this one song. As much as I absolutely LOVE the piano playing, it felt like I had accidentally changed radio stations halfway through. Lead vocal could use being a little bit louder in mix, it quite often got a little lost in the plethora of other stuff going on. Plus, tuning issues in the singing grated on my ears just a tiny bit; like on the ‘la-la-la’ bits. But the basic song structure is engaging and well thought out. I guess my overall recommendation is pick just a few changes in style/feel and repeat them, rather than doing a dozen radically different things only once.

Cool… sounds like an electronic Billy Joel on the intro. Great voice, love the orchestration. Shades of Supertramp in parts, too. This is a pro production. The only thing I can say negative is the lyrics are hard to follow in a couple of parts (never hurt Cobain). Keep up the good work; I would buy a CD of this stuff.

Arguably the best song of the contest (what else is new). The arrangement leaves us all behind. Great instrumental break, piano playing! The voice sounds like Jeff Lynne's, only more infantile, teenage-like at times which spoils it for me. The vocal gets buried in the mix a little bit.

ELO it is. "Sweet-Talking Woman". "Finding your own voice" – that’s what wins at the end, I suppose, and this is the hardest task for all of us.

The lyrics are actually pretty good for such a "pop" song. The first two lines are purposely too long, but hard to comprehend. My advice - avoid long compound sentences. "I'm a little in the sun, a little in the pourin' rain" is a good one, since any use of metaphors is great. The lyrics get worse in the chorus and from there on, you slip into mediocrity. What’s up with all that flying for the millionth time in songwriting? Stop flying and try hopping – that’ll keep people focused. We’re way too used to crawling, flying, walking and running.
This one is the winner.

Vocals low in the mix...couldn't make out lyrics...sounds like The Wondermint..lots of interesting changes...nice backs...great album cut..nice chorus

What can I say? I enjoy the music, the arrangment, the production, I love the lyrics,...
Just one thing, please, turn your lead-vocals louder. You don't need to hide your voice (and is hardly
possible to get all of the lyrics from the recording)!

The introduction catches the attention and I like the guitar affect.
A lot of work has gone in to this songs production. I couldn't make
out most of the lyrics, but never the less I like this song especially
the chorus. The songs develops well and I like the atmosphere the song creates.

Critique: nice production, backing vocals.
Piano solo on musical break technically good
but so distinct from the rest of the song
that it's distracting. I'm lost on the
meaning -- "pole position"?

Very good professional production. The song idea is carried through by fastly sung lyrics which is counter-balanced and smoothed out by very nice bass line. Piano parts are excellent (maybe too loud for voice or voice needs to be brought out of mix to match)
