David's own comments:

I have better material, but I wanna submit my "party" song...best listened to while drunk
"Don't Run Away"
May the Farce be with you...
....
For my IFC #4 entry, someone said the male and female voices do not compliment each other. That's me singing both...using my highest octave without breaking into a falsetto.

'Course, I had to have someone kick me in the groin to get there...

Obviously you have rhythm. However, I'd lose the effects on your voice and just do your best belting it out. I don't like this kind of music however. Sorry.

Being a bass player, the intro rules. haha! The vocals seem to me to clash with the song. The hook/chorus is really good though. Maybe just have one low voice do the verses.

If I was in a night club I would dance to this one... But to sit and listen,....I couldn't do it.. Good beat, but too much wah on guitar for me.

Serious bass groove on this track, reminds me of a PFunk song. The multi-vocal effects detract a bit from what is otherwise a fun dance track.

The beat is great...
The recording quality of the instruments is excellent.
The music is extremely repetative...small smatterings of melody here and there...mostly beat and simple bass thoughout......
The vocal performance is not really singing...it's more like rap...techno rap or B-52s kind of thing....
The male and female vox do not compliment one another...
Not to my personal liking actually...the vox effects are over done as well..
lyric is pretty cool though....good writing there...

Rocky Horror Picture Show LOL! Good beat and instrumentation and a good recording. Unfortunately no actual melody emerges. Fortunately this has the effect of showing less your vocal shortcomings, which I won't shy away from expressing, as I am only echoing your own self-assessment LOL!

Fun song. Liked the beat (very danceable), instrumentation, vocals, and lyrics. But, it was hard to make out the lyrics. The vocals sounded great until the chorus. Need to keep the same vocal mix on the chorus as on the verses. Also, I think you should synch up the vocals on the chorus with the instrumentation, instead of singing in between the riffs. The vocals on the chorus would sound great if they were sung with the riffs. Good job overall.

Have you ever thought about writing children's music? That's honestly not meant to be an insult, but I totally hear this song NOT in a dance club (it just doesn't sound like anything you would hear on the dance charts) but on The Muppet Show or similar. Animal would love to play the drums on this one - he would go off! But as an sdult song, a real song in the big bad world, I can't see it working. It's just too cute and simplistic in its structure/presentation - BUT with all these cool riffs and sounds going on here, I can see little kiddies boogeying down to it at some stage show at the mall during school holidays. I'm going to pretend you actually intend this song as a children's number, and give you a higher score based on that. Ever heard of The Wiggles? They're making millions in the kiddies' market these days (in fact they are in the top ten income earners in all of Australia, right up there with Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman) ever since they gave up
trying be a real rock band (The Cockroaches) and donned brightly coloured skivvies instead and started singing about spaghetti. Seriously, enter this one in the JLSC Children's category.

Overall, not a bad dance tune. I would suggest having a female do the "Don't run away" falsetto bit- or Bring it down in the mix a bit or even take it out altogether. I found it a bit annoying after the first go around. The drum sequencing in awesome and so is the instrumentation.
