Hi everyone. Because of problems with the MP3 file on "Just Words", my original submission, I am (reluctantly) submitting a different song. My apologies and thanks to those of you who took time to try to listen through the garbled MP3. It was reloaded several times, but it still sounded garbled.

There's a hint of America's "Ventura Highway". Actually, it may be more than a hint. That being said, you know I'm one to enjoy good guitar rock. I like the solos/riffs through out the song...

This is an excellent rock track, I could hear the Eagles on this one. Loved the "break" at around 2:45... great instrumental work and production this as well.

 I really like the beat...reminiscent of the Moody Blues. Nice solo, really fits the song. The lyrics (specifically the meter and phrase length) and the melody remind of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. This is definitely a driving song! Word up to the Boston songwriters, I'll be back up there soon!

A note on the song files - this one is a garbled in two places, but not as bad as the other song. I use soundclick too - are you running a lot of programs while uploading? That may make it garbled. Just a thought, has no bearing on the judging.

This is a pretty good song, although the vocal harmony is kind of flat. It is rescued by very good instrumentation. Did I miss the chorus?!

Cool song. Lyrics memorable, without tangling the listener up in an epic story. Great voice and fantastic guitar work. Very well produced too. I did take half a point off, though, for reminding me of John Denver :-)

Well....you just can't expect old guys like me to not hear "Ventura Highway" when they hear this....kept waiting for something other than that to happen...then you took a long lead.....sorry...couldn't make it any further....The way the electric guitars are first introduced into the song was pretty cool though...

I listened to this song many times. I like the sound and lyrics.It didn't carry me as much as some of the others, but you have a nice piece of work here. Your production of this tune is very good. I wish I had some of your skills in
writing, singing and production.. Great song.

a musican. The lyrical content is good as well as the production and vocals.

This is good stuff; solid and catchy. Like the lyrics and your voice (and I don't care whether you are dying your hair or throwing dice!) I was expecting more of a chorus though; feels like it needs to high more of a dramatic high before getting into the instrumental section (which was excellent!). I think the problem is there's no great distinction between what might be a verse and what might be a chorus. But overall the effect is really toe-tapping and pleasing. [still a few corruption issues in your soundfile I think]
