| Iggy | Kris S - Wonderwall: Absolutely fantastic.
I wish I could give you some constructive feedback, but I simply can't.
Great song, great rendition. Iggy likes. |
| Kneena | Your vocals are Excellent! Your music is Spectacular! Kris, you did a sensational job on this song! I truly enjoyed hearing you perform! This was great from beginning to end! |
| Christina | Kris, this is a great perfromance, extremely polished and professional in all respects. A real pleasure to listen to. |
| Solpig | Well done. My only constructive criticism is
I like your voice better than that punk in Oasis. You have an excellent
full clear pop voice, reminds me of some of the better British Pop singers(are
you a limey?). In the original,he double-tracked his vocals, swamped himself
in effects and was inaudible. The only reason I listened to the song(Oasis)
was it was forced down my throat by pay-for-play-radio. I guess I'm still a little bitter about his remarks about themselves being the next beatles(does it show?) the song itself eludes me.I don't know what it's about. I'd like to hear more Kris S. songs. You knocked this one down to a tee and better,so I'm sure you could rip it up on your own stuff. A+ for Kris S. C- for Oasis |
| Nigel | Right away I liked the acoustic guitar sound.
Very compressed, almost overdriven. Nice....
I liked the tonal effect that the piano gave toward the end. I would have liked to have heard that earlier. Maybe not that specific part, but just something as a texture. Very subtle changes from the original, but you made it your own. Good job Kris. |
| EED (Emily) | This is the hardest one for me to critique
so far because I am MOST familliar with it. I know this song well and
really like it. I just kept waiting for something to make it POP and set
it apart from the original and just never got it. It seems unfair to give
other entries the benefit of the doubt that they really switched it up,
then lay that criticism on you, but...
THAT BEING SAID, I DID REALLY LIKE IT. You have a great voice that worked very well with the song. The music was great and the recording was really well put together. It was a great cover. |
| David T | Great guitar strumming...expressive and energetic. Other instruments not too shabby either! Great vocals, except one place where they pegged the meter, but that's just an engineering problem. I could easily see this on the radio. No wait, it's a cover... |
| Tim W | Kris OK. We're not ranking 'em, but if we did, this effort gets high mark from me. Fabulous production, almost radio ready. Vocals are a near copy of the original. It doesn't hurt that I like this tune, but you presented the package in such a compelling manner that this entry, to my ear, surpassed the field. |
| Nancy G | Kris S. did you know that George
Harrison did a song called "Wonderwall"? The album was called Wonderwall too. Well the two are not even close. I like the Oasis song very much. Your guitar is very strong and has a lot of depth with great chords. Your voice is awesome too. Wow, what a super song! I must get out of "MY ROOM" more and listen to different types of songs. I get stuck in Nancyville..It is moody there. lol. "Maybe your gonna be the one who saves me" I like that line. Your have great dynamics as well. Thanks for touching my heart with your sound. |
| Todd | Smokin'! I listened to this one, like, three times already (I love oasis, too). Kris has a great voice and pulls this off well, but in his own style. The guitar is tight. The chorus lacks the intensity of the original, but this is a cover and that can't even be expected. I would love to listen to Kris's original stuff. Wanna collaborate :) |
| James | Very nice rendition. Great sound on the acoustic. Love your voice. Just different enough from the original to call your own. Good job! |
| Markus | Very close to the original but though a little different. I like the effects you put on the acoustic guitar. A good song and a good interpretation. |
| Meikow | Kris, again, your vocals are just right on.I'm sure the boys of Oasis would envy your version. Are you sure your name isn't Justin Hayward? Are the Moodys one of your influences? Great job! |
| Hoaby | Well done! I will have to say that your mix puts my song to shame! Ha! I could tell that you spent some time on this. Everything shines clear. Great playing, great sound...great voice! Well done says it all! |
| Dave C | Nice vocal styling drawing from the original artist but definitely your own thing and excellent production work too. Its actually a pretty good song, huh! Ill guess I need to go out and get the Oasis CD. |
| Hazelglow | Good feel in the guitar intro; sets the pace solidly and effectively. First verse vocals set just against the guitar also is really good. However these elements are lifted exactly from the original, so I can't really give you the credit. After that it loses omph for me somewhat, doesn't seem to go anywhere else. I think I just find it to be a rather a dull song, 'cos the original doesn't do much for me either. If you intended your version to be a replica of the original, then well done! But I'd much rather hear something more of "you" coming through, rather than a clone. |
