02-Nancy G. Firefly I Have A Song	6	Nice, simple, easygoing lyrics make this song. They fit the song. Nancys performance helps as well! The song reminded of CSN, but Im not sure why. As always, Nancys vocals are right there with that little touch of attitude. Needs Improvement: The song is crying for a bridge or a surprise. The verses and chorus merge and was difficult to find where one started and the other left off. Summary: Great sounding song that probably is better suited for live venues.
03-Brian Dragonfly	4	Good Points This is a great sounding sound reminiscent of any late 60s Beatles song. Vocals were up front, in key and done very well. Needs Improvement It could have been my lo-fi connection, but the bass was too boomy in the mix. Even after I EQed it, it still was overpowering. I had difficulty understanding the lyrics as well. Again, maybe its on my end. Summary I really liked the feel of this song with its 60s flower power mood. With a few touch ups in the mix, the song has great potential. I really liked it.
04-Markus Because of Monica	10	Good Points: Nice, from the heart type of song. Vocals up front and easily heard. Good story line. Needs Improvement: I could not find any noticeable melody. The song was more a monotone sung to the changing chords. Drums were too canned taking away from the otherwise good playing. I kept waiting for the song to go somewhere, perhaps a bridge leading to an uplifting chorus. Something just wasnt there. I also noticed too many forced rhymes. Kiss to bliss, smiles to styles, etc. Summary A song with a good start. I think with the addition of a bridge or chorus, the song would have a better chance for successbut, then again, who am I?
05-Todd Flowers in the Sun	2	Strong Points: Great song with all the right factors. Good melody line, nice changes, good hooks. I especially liked the down, down, down. It made me remember it. Vocals were very good and mixed properly. Guitar lead was very good. Weak Points: Too long. It would be great for an album cut, but too long to try and pitch. Summary: Excellent song with all the right elements for success. I liked it.
06-Bobbio I Should Be Coming Home to You	2	Good Points: Great vocals with very engaging lyrics. The chord change from the verse to the chorus was nicely done. Good strong hook. Needs Improvement: Nothing that I could find. Summary: Very strong song needing nothing.
07-Jens More than A Cliché	6	Strong Points: The arranging, production, and playing on the track were excellent Chord changes were both unique and interesting. A noticeable change with the bridge. Weak Points: Flat Vocals. There was no discernable melody. Another song with vocals going with chord changes. I could not hum it after hearing it. Summary: The song probably was not showcased at its best due to the vocals. Additionally the lack of understanding of the lyrics, on my part, did not help.
08-Kris S Who, When & Where	4	Strong Points: Nicely mixed song with clear, up front vocals. The lyrics actually said something and were logical. Very good guitar playing. The title of the song was mentioned in the chorus. Needs Improvement: I didnt have the lyrics, but I only heard the actual title of the song stated once. I would not have remembered it. The chorus was only sung once. Summary: Good song with a solid message. Could improve if the title could be incorporated more into the song driving the message home to the listener.
09-Peter M Don't Care Who Knows	6	Strong Points: Very good production. The entire mix was clean, clear with vocals up front. Excellent guitar playing with the harmonica adding nicely. Interesting storyline that held my attention. Not sure what getting lubricated was all about. Needs Improving: You used the same lyric twice. I would have liked to see the song change it’s melody line a bit more. Chorus and verse were too similar. The vocals threw me off at first, but I warmed up to them after a few listens. Summary: Nicely produced and played song with a good storyline. With some tweaking, the song could be excellent.
10-Kneena With All My Love	1	Strong Points: Without a doubt…...vocals. Outstanding. Lyrics were well written and natural. The song’s title was clearly identified throughout the song. Melody line was good with a nice change in the chorus. Needs Improvement: Nothing Summary: This is an excellent example of a piano/vocal demo. No flashy productions, no gimmicks, just great talent. Nice job.
11-Dave C The Words That I Rehearse For You	9	Strong Points: This is fairly well written song. Good structure, nice changes. Very decent drumming. Weak Points: Performance, both vocal and guitar. But you knew that. I felt the lyrics were a bit unnatural. Does anyone really say it wraps me in this icy cage? Summary: Good song with much potential. I could see this song going somewhere with some good production and tweaked lyrics.
