A nice song. It has an almost lullabye quality to it that is well matched to the sentiment of the song. It reminds me a lot of mid `60's Manfred Mann or Small Faces. It could just be the low bitrate but the production seems to have a very "at home" kind of sound & the vocal levels seemed to fluctuate some but still a well crafted pop ballad. |

It definitely has a late `60's acid-folk vibe that I'm into. Especially the melody & chord changes at the end of each verse. It kind of reminds me of very early Joni Mitchell or Janice Ian a bit. Musically, it brings to mind the Harry Chapin song "Taxi". I also think maybe it's just a wee bit long perhaps & could maybe be condensed down just a little. The recording was very crisp & balanced. I think this song would do well with other instruments being added as it progresses along. If you wrote this from reading Christina's lyrics first then good job! I've NEVER done lyrics first ever so that's impressive to me. Once again a cool hypnotic vibe. |

I like the melody & overall feel of this song. It has an intimate sort of one-on-one feel to it. I didn't get to hear this one through headphones but the production sounded really good even on the low-fi stream. One thing however is the breath pops on the vocal mic. You probably should have used a screen or have been further from the mic. Another thing is that the snare drum pattern at the end of the song seems a bit too busy to me although I like the synchopations. Maybe the snare should have been straight & the synchopated patterns could have been done with something else like claves or a woodblock. Nice chord changes throughout. A nice folk/pop/easy listening ballad. |

This is really cool. This should be a hit! It sounds kind of like an amalgamation of `80's bands that I can't quite put my finger on. It kind of sounds like the band Simple Minds a bit for instance but also has it's own thing. `Love the guitar tone & the flow & the chord changes at the end of each chorus cycle. Very touching, powerful lyrics. Lines like...."down to the barest part of me cause you're so lovely" & "this will be the last time" convey very deep emotion & commitment to the other. Right up the ally of this contest! This one's gonna be hard to beat! |

I loved all the unexpected chord changes & also the vibe. To me it has a very "in the city" kind of feel. I didn't listen to the hi-fi stream but from what I could hear from the lo-fi, it sounded like a good mix. It kind of has Paul Simon meets Lovin' Spoonful thing about it. Great voice too. I liked the imagery of the lyrics |

It sounds like an old pop standard & I mean that in a good way. Yes the vocals were a little flat in places & I also felt some of the word choices were a bit strained but I figure it's because of the translation. I was surprised at how much of it still rhymed after translation. I liked the chord changes & the melody although I think the vocals kind of "hid" the melody a bit. It IS an easy listening catagory tune so I'm thinking it sounded like it should vibe-wise. It very vaguely reminds me of "McAurthur Park" just a tiny bit or "Alone Again Naturally" by Gilbert O. Sullivan. Well crafted. |

The guitar intro & the chords at the begining of each verse cycle sound a bit like The Who's Behind Blue Eyes while the melody in that part sounds similar to John Denver's Christmas for Cowboys..both cool songs in my opinion. I didn't listen to the hi-fi version nor did I hear it through headphones but it sounded like a pretty good mix from what I could tell. I too found the timing a bit of an issue in places. I liked the chord choices although to me it sounded a bit repetitive. I think it has an interesting mood. |

Freewheelin' Peter M.! Obviously very early Dylan influenced. I like the chord changes although I felt the melody during the bridge didn't quite fit the changes there. Interesting story line that is both emotional & amusing. |

Wow! Simply beautiful! Litening to this brought back the emotions I felt when I wrote Dragonfly except lyrically this song is so much better & more touching I think with it's references to daily observations that are present when someone you love is no longer there. My eyes started to tear a little!!! Musically it's perfect I'd say. The melody & changes perfectly emphasizing the emotion of the lyrics...and that VOICE! Very good production as well. Will you marry me?!!lol |

I liked the changes in the verse & the kind of "Who" feel in the bridge. I thought it was cool the way the song comes out of the bridge with one big chord chop & a rest. I was dissapointed in the choruses however. It seemed to me the verses had a lot stronger hook to them. I couldn't discern the melody during most of the chorus. Maybe needs a little more touching up. A lot of really cool elements going on, good feel as well. Sometimes it seemed a little odd that the mention of the song title in the lyrics didn't rhyme with what had gone before. |
