Strong Points: Great song with all the right factors. Good melody line,
nice changes, good hooks. I especially liked the down, down, down. It
made me remember it. Vocals were very good and mixed properly. Guitar
lead was very good. |

| 03-Brian | This is really cool. This should be a hit! It sounds kind of like an amalgamation of `80's bands that I can't quite put my finger on. It kind of sounds like the band Simple Minds a bit for instance but also has it's own thing. `Love the guitar tone & the flow & the chord changes at the end of each chorus cycle. Very touching, powerful lyrics. Lines like...."down to the barest part of me cause you're so lovely" & "this will be the last time" convey very deep emotion & commitment to the other. Right up the ally of this contest! This one's gonna be hard to beat! | |
| 06-Bobbio | Cool opening....maybe a little too long, however.....good guitar tones...had trouble understanding lyrics, especially in the chorus....but the overall sound was so cool, it didn't matter much and held my interest...what lyrics I caught...I liked the phrasing..not sure how much of a "valentine' this is...but, it has huge potential... | |
| 90-Emily | Didn't I hear this on the radio?!
Not yet? Well, it's not a big stretch of the imagination to think of it
there. This is really great pop/rock song. Kudos.
Pros: great vocals, spiced up nicely with the backing vocals--a great mix. The guitar work was excellent. The production was excellent. Cons: The only thing that struck me as odd was the lyric about "let me call you at home, if you don't pick up the phone" It seems a bit mundane compared to all the wonderfully romantic lyrics--picking flowers, not pawning love for fame, you're so lovely, etc. Woo hoo, Todd! |

| 10-Kneena | A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS | |
| 07-Jens | Interesting sound, very fine play,
singing and production, good melody. Perhaps the title should be "Down,
down, down" - that is really a hook in the song! I have a feeling, that nothing happens in the lyrics and they are a little boring. But OK, English is not my mothertongue so I may have missed something. The song is a little too long. Try with more dynamics/variation with fx a quiet part and/or introduce a synth-sound later in the song. |

| 02-Nancy G. Firefly | I like the guitar lead in this song. I love
the beat of the drums. It reminds me of U2 and that is great. I love your
vocals as always you win my heart over in your songs. Your harmonies are
strong and passionate! Your bridge is extremely moody the way I like it!
The lyrics are perfect. I really don't know how I could add to this song;
it is complete, but maybe a little bit too long for radio play, which
is about 3:30 minutes a song. Thank you again for sharing the sounds of your heart. Firefly |

| 11-Dave C | I really!! liked this one. You can definitely walk away from this one singing the "down, down, down" part and the powerful chorus. The guitar playing and arrangement were both very solid . well, I liked it so much I won't even say anything derogatory about the drums (just kidding)! | |
| 08-Kris S | Terrific guitar work, a true wall of sound going on throughout this whole song. Reminds me of the sound U2 worked so magically on the Joshua Tree Album. Good harmonies ..nice dreamlike mood. It's a song I'd definitely listen to over and over again. | |
| 91-Solpig | LLLLLOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGGG intro.good song. I have a very short attention span.If that was on the radio,I might have switched stations, and missed an otherwise really good song.Lyrics are a little buried(I'm becoming my mom) but the styles of today allow for that if you're melodies' good, and yours is. Good production, great pop guitar sounds.Well done.I don't know about the "love" song part, but It's related somewhere,so there it is. Good work. piggy |
